Concerns raised by LFN projects including ONAP about re-using 3GPP, O-RAN Alliance terminology names, models from a copyright perspective

For O-RAN Alliance, N.K. Shankaranarayanan suggested that the best forum to discuss this concern will be Wednesday call ONAP/O-RAN Harmonization meeting organised by John Kenney, Martin Skorupski

For 3GPP, Magnus Buhrgard (Unlicensed) said that we could refer to their standard(s) when we use their terminology - Laison Statements and Updates.

Can we use a 3GPP Yang Model reference? How can we do this?

  • Request from Anuket Assured if there is any certification need from the ONAP Community.
  • TSC Vote  - Does the ONAP TSC consider any value in the Anuket Assured Badging program for CNF? TSC Members Trends is in favor but can not record the vote - lack of participation.
  • Topic to be added to the next TSC on 7/14 if the SDC project can share additional insights
  • Next step: How to create the set of tests? Sandra Jackson will invite the ONAP Community to the next CDC meeting
