We will start our meetings by mentioning the project's Antitrust Policy, which you can find linked from the LF and project websites. The policy is important where multiple companies, including potential industry competitors, are participating in meetings. Please review and if you have any questions, please contact your company legal counsel. Members of the LF may contact Andrew Updegrove at the firm Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the LF.

LFN Annual Report

From Pano:  "... we’re into the annual report production cycle and we’re looking for “year-in-review” input from the projects. we’d like to hear about successes, challenges and how they forged forward toward new horizons. please ask them to aim for about 1/2 to 1 page of single spaced text (use default google docs formatting) for monday nov. 13."

Release Status

#VOTE:  Does the TSC agree to reschedule the ONAP Montreal RC milestone to Nov 30?

We lacked quorum, so we could not vote.  However, the four TSC members present (Keguang He , Dong Wang , Andreas Geißler, Byung-Woo Jun ) agreed with the corrected schedule.  We also agreed that David McBride will send email to the TSC mailing list explaining the scheduling error.  We will assume that the TSC agrees with the change unless a TSC member objects.  If there is an objection, then we will arrange for an email vote.

  • Zoom/Meeting Audit - we no longer have the need for the number of Zoom accounts ONAP is paying for and we will be moving to LFX meetings once we can grant meeting owners the proper access.  We need to audit the meetings/bridges and clean up both the calendars and consolidate the Zoom accounts in the very near future.

00:03:27.550 --> 00:03:29.939
Sandra Jackson: Hi, Andreas.

2
00:03:31.350 --> 00:03:32.820
Sandra Jackson: I'll make sure I turn it up.

3
00:03:34.450 --> 00:03:38.129
Andreas Geissler: Hi!

4
00:03:39.970 --> 00:03:56.230
Andreas Geissler: Am I the only one remote, most likely right? So the rest right now, right now you are David, myself, and they on. We're all in the room.

5
00:03:57.350 --> 00:04:01.100
Sandra Jackson: Hmm, no, this is Andreas Andre. Hi, Andreas!

6
00:04:01.940 --> 00:04:03.120
Andreas Geissler: Hi, Yvonne!

7
00:04:03.230 --> 00:04:05.240
Sandra Jackson: Oh.

8
00:04:11.230 --> 00:04:15.029
Andreas Geissler: do you have any videos so that we can see I can see you.

9
00:04:15.940 --> 00:04:21.630
Sandra Jackson: Oh, you know what? Yeah, I can put my Yup. I can put my video on, there you go.

10
00:04:23.880 --> 00:04:30.739
Andreas Geissler: I'll grace you today

11
00:04:32.380 --> 00:04:33.050
about.

12
00:04:34.440 --> 00:04:39.039
Sandra Jackson: by the way, how how big was the participation in

13
00:04:39.440 --> 00:04:49.340
Andreas Geissler: in Budapest. So I haven't, because I have. I'm have no feeling, because I was always remote, connected, but never have had a feeling how many people are in the room there. So

14
00:04:49.630 --> 00:05:09.640
Sandra Jackson: it was about 50. It was about 50. Yeah, we had quite a few badges that were not picked up. How many do you remember the registration number that we had. Yeah.

15
00:05:10.200 --> 00:05:12.750
Andreas Geissler: okay, okay, see?

16
00:05:12.810 --> 00:05:15.290
Sandra Jackson: We supposed to give video. Okay.

17
00:05:17.650 --> 00:05:18.880
Sandra Jackson: that's this video.

18
00:05:20.070 --> 00:05:22.309
Sandra Jackson: hey? How are you?

19
00:05:25.120 --> 00:05:31.220
Andreas Geissler: Yes, yes, I can see you.

20
00:05:32.810 --> 00:05:36.190
Andreas Geissler: It's always a little bit. Let's say.

21
00:05:36.270 --> 00:05:47.220
Andreas Geissler: difficult to just speak into some. Don't see anything.

22
00:05:47.400 --> 00:05:50.059
Sandra Jackson: Okay? Oh, that. Oh, that's you.

23
00:05:50.360 --> 00:05:58.420
Sandra Jackson: I got excited. Yeah.

24
00:06:01.130 --> 00:06:10.810
Sandra Jackson:  one

25
00:06:17.090 --> 00:06:20.900
shortly. When they happen jumping videos.

26
00:06:21.390 --> 00:06:26.300
Sandra Jackson: That's months. Once. Oh, yeah, yeah.

27
00:06:29.230 --> 00:06:32.950
Sandra Jackson: The I don't know if anyone else is going to join us.

28
00:06:33.220 --> 00:06:34.750
How about Paula?

29
00:06:35.120 --> 00:06:36.339
Sandra Jackson: Not too far.

30
00:06:36.530 --> 00:06:38.350
Sandra Jackson: I

31
00:06:38.730 --> 00:06:42.190
Sandra Jackson: to crack up. Yeah, what is? You know? It's important.

32
00:06:43.090 --> 00:06:48.209
Sandra Jackson: Oh, okay.

33
00:06:49.750 --> 00:06:50.980
Sandra Jackson: got an email.

34
00:06:52.330 --> 00:06:57.670
Sandra Jackson: Let me check my let me stop sharing for a minute. Hold on. Okay. check my

35
00:06:59.550 --> 00:07:02.020
Sandra Jackson: make sure no one's trying to select me or anything.

36
00:07:13.710 --> 00:07:15.269
Sandra Jackson: Let's start here.

37
00:07:21.980 --> 00:07:22.680
See?

38
00:07:31.030 --> 00:07:32.430
Sandra Jackson: Last night I went.

39
00:07:32.710 --> 00:07:33.460
do

40
00:07:34.070 --> 00:07:35.570
Sandra Jackson: with that stretch.

41
00:07:35.580 --> 00:07:44.919
Sandra Jackson: Okay, I'm gonna give about 2 more minutes, and then I'll just go with us. It's it's gonna be a pretty short meeting, anyway.

42
00:07:50.700 --> 00:07:51.600
Sandra Jackson: Hmm.

43
00:08:01.720 --> 00:08:04.920
be so

44
00:08:08.760 --> 00:08:09.490
Sandra Jackson: oh.

45
00:08:09.900 --> 00:08:12.490
Sandra Jackson: change color on me. Okay.

46
00:08:13.120 --> 00:08:14.520
Andreas Geissler: yeah. I already did.

47
00:08:14.630 --> 00:08:30.489
Sandra Jackson: I already did that for you? Oh, thank you so much.

48
00:08:36.830 --> 00:08:42.890
Sandra Jackson: Hi! Hey, Devine!

49
00:08:43.030 --> 00:08:46.700
Sandra Jackson: Where am I going? Where am I? Where am I? Where am I? Where am I?

50
00:08:48.520 --> 00:08:57.099
Sandra Jackson: If you're gonna change the change

51
00:08:57.130 --> 00:09:03.269
Sandra Jackson: alright. Well, since this is just us. Let's go ahead. Our regular reminders.

52
00:09:03.360 --> 00:09:06.269
Sandra Jackson: that the meeting is being recorded, including the private chat

53
00:09:07.080 --> 00:09:13.479
Sandra Jackson: and our antitrust policy. And if you have any questions about it, of course you can reach out to your company's legal

54
00:09:13.950 --> 00:09:22.059
Sandra Jackson: council, or if you're a member of the Linux Foundation. you can reach out to Andrew up the growth of Guessma up to growth. Llp.

55
00:09:22.170 --> 00:09:26.309
Sandra Jackson: alright. And on the agenda for today

56
00:09:27.120 --> 00:09:28.730
Sandra Jackson: is this, today? Yeah.

57
00:09:30.900 --> 00:09:42.419
Sandra Jackson:  we're here at the Budapest face to face. So it's nice to put faces to names and actually see people in person. Flesh?

58
00:09:43.040 --> 00:09:51.429
Sandra Jackson: So we'll give updates on that next week on get folks, thoughts and feedback on the on the events.

59
00:09:52.130 --> 00:10:01.800
Sandra Jackson:  tsc, we'll talk about the activities and deadlines coming up. We'll have a a quick release status update

60
00:10:02.110 --> 00:10:06.359
Sandra Jackson: and our regular housekeeping. So let's just jump into it.

61
00:10:07.340 --> 00:10:11.680
Not much to say. Like I said, we'll get feedback next week on

62
00:10:11.750 --> 00:10:14.480
Sandra Jackson: today's events this week's events.

63
00:10:15.010 --> 00:10:28.840
Sandra Jackson: and just a reminder that the Tsc chair nomination ends tomorrow. So if you have not already gone out of major nominations on the page, please do so.

64
00:10:29.140 --> 00:10:32.780
Sandra Jackson: Let me double check. Hold on

65
00:10:35.160 --> 00:10:36.210
Andreas Geissler: and Shannon.

66
00:10:37.990 --> 00:10:39.659
and that's do you see election?

67
00:10:40.820 --> 00:10:43.080
Sandra Jackson: And did I open it up on improvement?

68
00:10:44.420 --> 00:10:46.809
Sandra Jackson: Gotta navigate over here?

69
00:10:54.460 --> 00:10:58.340
Sandra Jackson: Wrong thing. That's not what I wanted to open. Hmm, hmm.

70
00:10:59.090 --> 00:11:05.439
Andreas Geissler: but not the not the like, not the

71
00:11:05.890 --> 00:11:06.970
Sandra Jackson: correct.

72
00:11:07.870 --> 00:11:10.100
Sandra Jackson: So

73
00:11:10.730 --> 00:11:17.810
Sandra Jackson: If they send the reply to Kenya's email, we should, we supposed to see that?

74
00:11:20.320 --> 00:11:23.940
Sandra Jackson: Okay, now let me see if I can find my page because I think I lost it.

75
00:11:24.470 --> 00:11:29.480
Andreas Geissler: See that? Yeah. So no, no reaction so far on the

76
00:11:31.160 --> 00:11:32.430
Andreas Geissler: chair. Election.

77
00:11:34.700 --> 00:11:45.059
Sandra Jackson:  no, there isn't. Let me go over here. Sorry even Pablo was not not sending something I don't know. I've had someone talk this part about the

78
00:11:45.200 --> 00:11:46.530
Andreas Geissler: chair nomination.

79
00:11:47.290 --> 00:12:00.609
Sandra Jackson: I have not had a conversation with him. But you know I will send an email communication out today to remind folks. And I'll probably talk to Pablo.

80
00:12:00.730 --> 00:12:01.670
Sandra Jackson: And

81
00:12:02.050 --> 00:12:09.349
Sandra Jackson: next week, cause I was. I was going the week before last week we didn't get a chance to talk about it.

82
00:12:09.620 --> 00:12:11.689
Sandra Jackson: What's the deadline, this model?

83
00:12:13.380 --> 00:12:18.670
Sandra Jackson: Yeah, I'm gonna reach out to Pablo on slack today and see if I can get them.

84
00:12:20.210 --> 00:12:24.009
Sandra Jackson: Okay, let me go back to this. I think I closed by mistake.

85
00:12:24.710 --> 00:12:27.079
Sandra Jackson: Okay, alright.

86
00:12:33.780 --> 00:12:45.210
Sandra Jackson:  yep. And also I need to reach out to him, anyway, because we need to talk about the elephant annual report if he has anything to get back to panel.

87
00:12:45.720 --> 00:12:57.699
Sandra Jackson: Now, Panel just discussed this with the Anica Tsc yesterday. So I need to ask, do you know if he extended the deadline cause? Remember, it was like the thirteenth? Yeah, I think it was kind of a soft deadline. Okay?

88
00:12:57.940 --> 00:13:01.099
Sandra Jackson: And we actually have an exchange.

89
00:13:01.900 --> 00:13:10.989
Sandra Jackson:  with Paulo. Because he sent something in, and it wasn't clear if he if it was

90
00:13:11.500 --> 00:13:35.689
Sandra Jackson: audio, are you able?

91
00:13:35.870 --> 00:13:46.109
Sandra Jackson: Yeah, that's okay. A little bit lower voice. But it's okay. It's fine.

92
00:13:46.660 --> 00:13:50.390
Sandra Jackson: Alright, so, David, do you need to share for the release

93
00:13:50.570 --> 00:13:55.309
Sandra Jackson: status? I don't think so. The

94
00:13:55.470 --> 00:13:56.169
Sandra Jackson: I'm hoping

95
00:13:56.380 --> 00:14:01.900
Sandra Jackson: well, sure, yeah, I'll go ahead and let me shut up

96
00:14:14.960 --> 00:14:19.460
David McBride: crazy. Okay. okay.

97
00:14:32.940 --> 00:14:38.030
David McBride: alright. So you'll see, probably why turn off here.

98
00:14:42.350 --> 00:14:46.030
David McBride: So we had. the

99
00:14:46.990 --> 00:14:56.429
David McBride: tasks, the release management tasks for the Rc. Milestone have improved dramatically, which is great.

100
00:14:57.620 --> 00:15:01.689
David McBride: So there are still just

101
00:15:02.240 --> 00:15:05.720
David McBride: one that's open and 2 that are

102
00:15:06.210 --> 00:15:08.969
in progress.

103
00:15:09.930 --> 00:15:12.830
David McBride: Let's see who those belong to.

104
00:15:16.710 --> 00:15:19.020
David McBride: But these are both. Dan.

105
00:15:19.600 --> 00:15:21.670
David McBride: I will follow up with Dan.

106
00:15:22.090 --> 00:15:25.100
David McBride: And then the one that's open.

107
00:15:25.760 --> 00:15:30.390
David McBride: Let's see. Oh, that's service

108
00:15:30.470 --> 00:15:34.769
David McBride: orchestrator. So

109
00:15:39.080 --> 00:15:47.789
David McBride: yeah, yeah, and it it could just be that

110
00:15:49.410 --> 00:15:56.439
David McBride: Says she hasn't had a chance to update the the chair.

111
00:15:57.070 --> 00:16:11.250
David McBride: Yeah. Yeah. Nay, case, we're we're very close. I think the main issue is with gating. Andreas alerted us last week that there were some problems with

112
00:16:11.340 --> 00:16:22.710
David McBride: gating. And I had an email exchange with Andreas earlier and asked him if he could join and and give us an update. So, Andreas, you wanna talk about where we're at.

113
00:16:23.380 --> 00:16:28.780
Andreas Geissler: Yeah, I can do so. We still still have the issue here.

114
00:16:29.040 --> 00:16:31.079
David McBride: Andre, immediate

115
00:16:48.440 --> 00:17:08.660
Andreas Geissler: azure lab, which the integration team or is handling on so he hasn't fixed it yet. I have to get again and speak with him, because I think he's he's more busy with getting this vex host running as an alternative for the azure lab.

116
00:17:08.910 --> 00:17:30.920
Andreas Geissler: So what I did so so far was using the daily lab in Dt, so there should telecom for the testing. And what I did is I updated. And this took a longer time. I updated the Kubernetes version, the Sto version and so on to the, to the more or less.

117
00:17:30.920 --> 00:17:44.899
Andreas Geissler: more or less latest versions. Yeah. So because I did, II would want to avoid issues on that area when coming to tests, I fix that and now I'm using the daily lab

118
00:17:45.070 --> 00:17:52.119
Andreas Geissler: for gating. So that means I have to start manually, basically for each open

119
00:17:52.490 --> 00:18:11.810
Andreas Geissler: OM. Patch. A complete run. This takes longer than in normal gating, because in normal gating and azure we just installed own app with the patches and then installed. Basically. Then did the tests, and in the daily we usually

120
00:18:11.810 --> 00:18:40.599
Andreas Geissler: do it from completely destroy the scratch. So we are installing the infrastructure, the Kubernetes owner and testing. So that means the whole process takes a little longer, like 3 h, or something like that per gating. So that means it. It takes always a bit longer. But I'm I'm on it. So I'm let's say, trying to have 3 to 4 gating results ready per day.

121
00:18:40.670 --> 00:18:55.429
Andreas Geissler: But, as I said, I have have to do it manually, currently, but it's it's progressing now. So the the the stability is there. I can see that. And I will report then to the the re, the gating results and report to the teams.

122
00:18:55.440 --> 00:19:06.290
Andreas Geissler: What other results? What needs to be fixed and whatnot so. But we are at least it's progressing. Yeah. So I have. I think there are still.

123
00:19:06.380 --> 00:19:09.279
Andreas Geissler: let's say, about 7 or 8 open

124
00:19:09.630 --> 00:19:13.630
Andreas Geissler: patches. Which I have now

125
00:19:13.710 --> 00:19:24.710
Andreas Geissler: to fix, and I guess, beginning on next week, we I should be, let's say, completed with that, and then we are in in a good shape for

126
00:19:25.090 --> 00:19:29.359
Andreas Geissler: anyway, for release, candidate and all already, and for

127
00:19:29.630 --> 00:19:40.260
Andreas Geissler: Then the sign up, I would say, there are, there are a few ones which are still pending or missing, because, for example, the integration of the

128
00:19:40.470 --> 00:19:43.420
Portal, NG. The new component

129
00:19:43.550 --> 00:20:11.809
Andreas Geissler: I'm in contact with our teammates here. So he is working on that, and I think most likely we will get tomorrow a patch for that. We have also today received a patch for an AI, because also our team has has updated and have a new a new version of the Schema because it's including cell data in an AI.

130
00:20:11.810 --> 00:20:30.750
Andreas Geissler: This is also some patch which I will include then into Montreal. So that means we have a couple of updates, maybe that has even to be updated. Also in the release notes that we have these kind of new features. So yeah, so, but anyway, so I'm on it. And it's it's progressing.

131
00:20:33.310 --> 00:20:37.810
David McBride: Okay, that's that's good news. Thanks for the update Andreas.

132
00:20:38.010 --> 00:20:48.219
David McBride: I also wanted to mention. I last week when we rescheduled the milestones my recommendation, I made an error.

133
00:20:48.480 --> 00:21:12.350
David McBride: And I my my recommendation for moving the Rc. Milestone put it right on top of the Thanksgiving holiday in the Us. So II don't. I don't know what I was thinking there, but I should have shifted it to 3 weeks instead of 2 weeks, and I was hoping that there would be a quorum today so that we could vote on a change.

134
00:21:12.450 --> 00:21:14.759
David McBride: But we do not have a quorum.

135
00:21:14.910 --> 00:21:21.130
David McBride: So the only thing I think of is to I can send an email to the Tsc.

136
00:21:21.180 --> 00:21:33.680
David McBride: And just explain what happened, and and I'll just I'll just say that II I'm going to assume that the Tsc. Is an agreement with

137
00:21:33.740 --> 00:21:40.910
David McBride: moving it out one more week unless I hear someone object. I don't know.

138
00:21:41.380 --> 00:21:49.350
David McBride: So so I'm not sure without having quorum here today. I don't know. I'm not sure how else to fix it

139
00:21:49.400 --> 00:22:00.730
David McBride: so, anyway. So so the actual date for the Rc. Milestone will be November thirtieth instead of the twenty-threerd

140
00:22:01.190 --> 00:22:10.290
David McBride: in the end will stay the same where we moved it last week to the fourteenth. Yeah. For now, hopefully, that holds

141
00:22:11.130 --> 00:22:24.960
David McBride: the last thing I wanna mention was that You might have seen it, but in case you didn't, we did get a license scan on the eleventh

142
00:22:25.460 --> 00:22:28.279
David McBride: I linked

143
00:22:28.910 --> 00:22:34.639
David McBride: the email with the results there in the agenda.

144
00:22:34.780 --> 00:22:51.859
David McBride: And the main takeaway was that he said that there were no no high priority findings. So it looks like, we're we're good for in terms of the license scan results for the Montreal release.

145
00:22:52.550 --> 00:22:56.419
David McBride: And that's everything that I have.

146
00:22:59.060 --> 00:23:00.549
David McBride: unless there are questions.

147
00:23:10.770 --> 00:23:12.680
Andreas Geissler: Okay. that's fine.

148
00:23:12.900 --> 00:23:28.770
Andreas Geissler: Just one remark. So if you are missing that daily results, this is all caused by my issues, that I'm pro as a priority doing gatings. So we don't have currently then daily results on the tests. Yeah. But

149
00:23:28.960 --> 00:23:39.559
Andreas Geissler: and when I'm ready with that, I start the day the the dailies again, and also the weekly again. So just as a as a side remark. So I'm I'm ready

150
00:23:40.030 --> 00:23:46.679
Andreas Geissler: in priority. I will. Sorry priority. I would concentrate on the gating. So that means the daily results.

151
00:23:46.730 --> 00:23:49.210
Andreas Geissler: and the weekly runs will then

152
00:23:49.370 --> 00:24:08.970
Sandra Jackson: be postponed a little bit, because I just want to concentrate on that. So that's just a small remark.

153
00:24:09.140 --> 00:24:14.490
Andreas Geissler: the last one he left us.

154
00:24:15.020 --> 00:24:18.570
Sandra Jackson: Yeah.

155
00:24:19.500 --> 00:24:22.699
Sandra Jackson: I think we are good. I think stressful. I think they will.

156
00:24:23.400 --> 00:24:24.310
Yeah.

157
00:24:24.930 --> 00:24:25.780
Sandra Jackson: okay.

158
00:24:27.060 --> 00:24:33.410
Sandra Jackson: we just moved to our State to November thirtieth, because next week's Thanksgiving works

159
00:24:33.450 --> 00:24:40.890
Andreas Geissler: in U.S.A., Europe, we are working.

160
00:24:42.650 --> 00:24:48.909
Andreas Geissler: No. In America. We're eating

161
00:24:50.350 --> 00:25:02.680
Sandra Jackson: okay. So we'll we'll move forward. And the last thing that's just the the reminders, our regular housekeeping stuff. So the Ptl meeting still cancelled for the twentieth.

162
00:25:02.690 --> 00:25:25.840
Sandra Jackson: Right? Okay. okay. So next, Ptl meeting is the twenty-seventh. We have the one summit regional day, India coming up. So the registration is still there, and then just a reminder that meetings are being moved to our Lfx. Meeting management tools.

163
00:25:26.110 --> 00:25:31.770
Sandra Jackson: So that is all I have. Are there any last minute? Comments, questions.

164
00:25:32.980 --> 00:25:43.719
Sandra Jackson: Alright.

165
00:25:44.150 --> 00:25:52.300
Sandra Jackson: we will enjoy Thanksgiving, I will say Budapest has good food. I have not been disappointed.

166
00:25:52.500 --> 00:25:56.880
Sandra Jackson: Alright, thank you. All have a good one, and we'll see you

167
00:25:57.070 --> 00:26:01.149
Sandra Jackson: next week or 2 weeks later, 2 weeks later.

168
00:26:01.340 --> 00:26:04.349
Sandra Jackson: Thank you. All right. Thank you very much.

169
00:26:04.480 --> 00:26:11.909
Andreas Geissler: and have a good time. Still there. Okay and

170
00:26:12.350 --> 00:26:15.830
Andreas Geissler: alright. See you, then? Bye.

171
00:26:15.880 --> 00:26:17.590
Sandra Jackson: thank you.
