Actions
- A separate meeting will be scheduled between Gervais-Martial Ngueko , Sebastien Determe and Ramesh Murugan Iyer to discuss the TCA implementation using TOSCA
- Create a Wiki page defining the scope of a PoC on the approach for moving to a document store approach. Liam Fallon
- Policy types/Policies/Node Types/Node Templates are first order items
- Data Types have a scope of a first order item, so a data type definition only applies in the scope of a policy type or node type definition
- We should keep our current APIs, all changes should be internal
- We must provide an upgrade pat to the new data structure and a rollback to the current structure
- The documentation of the results of the High availability investigations for backup, restore, and redundancy using systems such as Velero and Petroni will be completed in the wiki. When ready, we will communicate with OOM on the OOM slack channel and possibly present our findings at a future DTF Saul Gill
- The JIRAs on HA and on Database backup/restore will be reorganised Liam Fallon
- A quick investigation will be carried out to see would it be feasible to support Kafka messaging as well as DMaaP messaging for PAP-PDP communication Sirisha Manchikanti
Notes
- For the Metadata Set work, the approach is now agreed to use TOSCA, Ramesh Murugan Iyer will proceed to raise the commits to implement the changes.
- Providing a High Availability infrastructure is beyond the scope of the Policy Framework, it is a task for ONAP overall (OOM) and/or individual organizations or companies taking the Policy Framework and integrating it into their infrastructure. The focus from now on in High Availability will be on making the Policy Framework High Availability Ready. Future tasks may be required to improve the HA readiness of the PF.
