PTL 2020-11-23

We will start our meetings by mentioning the project's Antitrust Policy, which you can find linked from the LF and project websites. The policy is important where multiple companies, including potential industry competitors, are participating in meetings. Please review and if you have any questions, please contact your company legal counsel. Members of the LF may contact Andrew Updegrove at the firm Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the LF.

Proposal for use of SNAPSHOT and STAGING images in Honolulu

  • SNAPSHOT tag would be applied and mean docker images that have not yet been verified by CSIT (regardless of their origin. i.e. if they have built from code in master or some specific review patch)
  • STAGING tag would be applied only to docker images that have been
    • built from master and
    • passed CSIT
  • Only STAGING images would be eligible for higher level E2E testing and RELEASE tagging

06:20:06 From Krzysztof Opasiak : Fro docker documentation:
06:20:09 From Krzysztof Opasiak : I don’t see any RateLimit headers

If you do not see these headers, that means pulling that image would not count towards pull limits. This could be because you are authenticated with a user associated with a Legacy/Pro/Team Docker Hub account, or because the image or your IP is unlimited in partnership with a publisher, provider, or open source organization.
