Integration Meeting Minutes 2017-12-13 Face to Face

Ramki: Integration on VMWare VIO: brainstorm on having everything in single instance of Kubernetes?

Ron Pollack:
need basics before S3P: jacoco CI/CD unit test enforcement before merge, enforcements on commit sizes, lack of communication on API changes
performance testing tools (Robot/JMeter?)
Helen: agree, but lack of resources, can Ron please lead this effort, need proposal for TSC approval
Ron, Michael OBrian, Helen: trial with one project, deal with exceptions and pushback

Helen: 1. document what to enforce and announce to PTLs/TSC, 2. trial with a project maybe CLAMP or APPC
Helen: Ron please lead this effort, need proposal for TSC and demo of tools

Ramki: should there be guidelines on setting up kubernetes/undercloud for OOM?
Michael: already mostly documented

Helen: how many openstack versions to test on for Beijing? Wind River to provide 5.4TB RAM, ATT TLAB 2.4 TBRAM, AWS
ARM-based lab? Maybe ARM-based ONAP running Intel-based VNFs? Can we run ONAP on ARM (recompile C code for ARM)?

Comment: Is ARM a release requirement?
Helen: no release requirement
Comment: ARM should contribute manpower
Helen: we will not include ARM in Integration scope

follow up on Jenkins CI integration with open lab: Kenny, Phil, Andy

Gary: Support only OOM in Beijing, no more heat?
Helen: yes, no more heat

Integrate Ansible with OOM? OOM to check with Eric

OPNFV tools, Cisco security scans, chaos monkey

Ron Pollack: define some test for Basic Verification Test
Helen: due to lack of bandwidth, currently it's vFWCL, DNS LB, vCPE
Andrew Fenner: can use some dummy VNFs to help with testing, also misbehaving nodes

Andrew Fenner: Individual projects should handle scale testing of their own modules without involvement from Integration

Alex Xia: it'd be nice to have a information flow diagram from Vendor perspective
Helen: already have things like that at component level; it's in the wiki but just hard to find
