Meeting Minutes

Discussed Beijing Release

  • No development concerns

  • Marco acknowledged that there are several Blockers to prevent Integration testing using vDNS.  These should be resolved within the next week or two.

Casablanca Release

  • Focus on Auto Scaling

  • Also include Homing and Licensing Flows as well as model-based Controller Type

    • A question was asked if this will be the first use of licensing capabilities within ONAP.  (Answer: we need to check with OOF developers)

  • Reviewed proposed flow for Auto Scaling (Option C in slides)

    • Need to be sure SO has access to all required information (from VID→SO slide)

    • Does CLAMP have access to VF_Module_Type information at Design Time? (It should)

    • Guard Policies will be needed to prevent run away scaling

      • Need to ensure new instance is taking on traffic before scaling again

      • Other guard policies?

  • Next discussion on Auto Scaling will take place during the Control Loop Subcommittee call on Wednesday at 10:00 US ET
