decide on the format of the of Config policy payload for Holmes

  • it was decided that the payload of the configuration policy will be a
    string composed of 2 parts separated by 3 dollar signs($$$).
    The first field will be the ControlLoopName.
    The second field will the whole Holmes drools rule string.
    So the payload will be like <ControlLoopName>$$$<Holmes Drools Rule>

  • Currently Holmes run only one set of Drools rule at a time. So in the future post R1,
    Since you will need to associate a rule to each Control Loop and
    you could have several Control Loop, Then Holmes will need to restructure
    its internal management of rule to support that.
