New Delhi Release Status

  • New Delhi RC date change (May 16 → 23) and Sign Off (June 6 → 13)
  • Project Milestone Status, New Delhi Milestone Status (work in progress)
  • New Delhi project branch ("newdelhi") creation for components with the following rules:
    • Code branch still goes with the marketing (e.g., newdelhi) 
    • If a project does not have any change (e.g., not active, no PTL), there is no branch change; if necessary, create dummy branches
    • Likewise, helm chart versioning is needed for active projects only. If there is no project change, they can stay at the old helm chart versions
      • The new OOM scripts (thanks to Andreas) support this
  • New Delhi Architecture Diagram, New Delhi-R14 Architecture Diagram
  • Oslo related Wiki under creation by Byung, Release Planning: Oslo
    • TSC voting this Thursday May 16th for Release Candidate
    • Oparent removal from Oslo?? Will discuss it with SECCOM and OOM, too
  • New releases (list of version under prep by SECCOM):
    • K8s - 1.28.6 version  → 1.29.x
    • ISTIO 1.21.x planned 

Waiting for an update from SDNC - do we have a conclusion from discussion between Sunket and Dan?

  • Action Pawel to send an e-mail to Dan, Andreas and Byung in cc.

Policy team had to disable Drolls component in OOM. Work could be continued in the next release. 

NG Portal images are available. CR for Docs prepared. 

LF IT Support


  • Ticket to be opened by Thomas Kulik - those repositories have no owners which blocks Documentation projects 
  • Archiving old projects at the TSC level - next TSC meeting Paweł Pawlak 
  • Thomas and Andreas will have a meeting on April 9th.

DMaaP MR deprecation: SDNC needs to make a decision

  • Most patches are in. One issue with SDNC, to be consulted with Dan. Dan Timoney  needs to get involved ASAP.

Andreas will provide a patch this week to disable DmaaP MR router and components using it. Remark in Release Notes will be prepared about disabling components.

Plan to migrate ONAP components to use RFC8040. Any update?

As backup Dan is working on Biermann but not progressed. ODL is not supporting it. Restconf stack is based on RFC draft. 

  • Preferred approach is to move to RFC8040 (Alternative 1).
    • Originally proposed back in the Kohn release 
    • Plan for the New Delhi release
    • Andreas Geißler DT has someone working on the SO piece to try and port to RFC8040
    • ONAP components will be moved to RFC8040 in New Delhi
  • Alternative 2: keep maintaining Biermann interface.
    • may support either London or Montreal as a long term release
  • Alternative 3: rollback to version before Argon.
  • Alternative 4 (the most drastic): stay where we are for now and begin to work with moving off from ODL.  

As we have no solution, we can not move to ODL Potasium.

RFC changes ongoing, master to be tested this week for SO.

Andreas to prepare environment for tests, so SDNC could be updated.
