Support of NetConf Callhome via TLS

Support of NetConf Callhome via TLS

Scope

The OpenDaylight version "silicon" implements NetConf Callhome via TLS. Such implementation is required by O-RAN Alliance.

This page lists the expected updates related to CCSDK, SDN-C and SDN-R.

Update to OpenDaylight Silicon

According to the OpenDaylight release planning the service pack1 for Silicon is scheduled for 2021-04-28 (see OpenDaylight Release Schedule). The impact on CCSDK needs to be analyzed.

Please see "Add device configuration for TLS protocol to allowed devices list" on OpenDaylight NETCONF User Guide.

The support of NetConf Callhome has an impact on the creation of "required" mountpoints - details to be discussed...

Test and Integration

Please reach out O-RAN-SC SIM project. It offers an "O1- Simulator" supporting NetConf Callhome with TLS.

The O-RAN-SC defined a related use case: Details from OAM point of view are documented in O-RAN-SC OAM project.
