Background:

  • wiki page:

    • Existing: go to EDIT page

    • New: Create Wiki page....and, in edit more now

  • insert gliffy macro

    • option 1: open curly brackets "{" to start typing macro name, e.g., "{gliffy " to select gliffy diagram

    • option 2: click on "+" in edit tool bar. Choose 'gliffy diagram'



Create Sequence Diagram

  • New? Choose 'Software Design & UML' in left bar

    • Choose 'sequence diagram' template to start with

    • use UML 1.0 panel in left to select items for adding more sequences, add arrows, etc.

  • Linking to existing in new location? Linking mean editing original will automatically update in new location

    • insert gliffy macro

    • select 'search for a diagram' in left menu

    • select diagram

    • check box for 'link to original diagram'

  • Using existing as template? see below ONAP Sequence Diagram Template

    • select 'search for a diagram' in left menu

    • select diagram

    • click on 'use as template'

Edit/Update Sequence Diagram

  • If not in edit mode - Click on border of a gliffy diagram to show 'edit' for the diagram

    • Note: need to be in page edit mode

  • Edit tool bar provides simple tools - be creative!!

    • layers: front/back

    • text/lines/boxes

    • color shading

  • Left side bar has some shapes and icons - drag over to diagram

  • click on object to select options to modify properties of text/line/box

  • double click on object to enter text

  • Display view size? Click on border to show size adjustment, ie., small/medium/large/original/custom
