ESR

  • Chaker Al-Hakim Long discussion on the Arc Com mtg this week.  Looked at email from a year ago. In the thread Huabing Zhao stated that the code was stable. Several projects confirmed they are using ESR in some fashion.
  • Andreas Geißlernotes theat there could be some confusion over the user interface vs. calls to Multicloud 
  • Some groups found a way to work around the use of ESR
  • There are global requirements for security that need to be applied to ESR
  • William Reehil still a bit of confusion as to who will be taking this over - AAI team lack knowledge of the code
  • Team that was supporting it is no longer with the company
  • damian.nowak proposal - set a deadline for decision of whether it is in or our.  End of August - noted code freeze is  
  • Amy Zwarico Andreas Geißler potential of extending python sdk instead of using ESR
  • To be discussed at Arch Com mtg next week in terms of using alternative solution.
