    PTLs

    • Under Oslo we recommended Java 11.0.21, accepted Java 17.0.10 Target 17.0.12 and possible use of 21.

We need to figure out what java versions we are running now in ONAP. If Dan is not making interface changes, moving to Java 21 is not a problem.

    • Andreas Geißler, provided the Java versions scanning, ONAP-Component-Java-Versions_Reporting..pdf

AP Pawel - to check if we can get this info from Nexus-IQ directly.

Andreas provided the list of the Java versions per project. versions_reporting.html ONAP-Component-Java-Versions_Reporting..pdf

      • AP: Dan Timoney, try it with SDNC to build basic image automatically regularly and update Docker file as needed. He will try it and let us know.

      • For release, image handling needs to sort out; which release images are being used. for unused projects, we need to update images.

      • After Dan’s try, DT may check how to handle. Andreas Geißler , if you have any update, please let us know. Thanks.

    • Nexus-IQ scan for Node.js and Angular in ONAP: Paweł Pawlak, opened a LF IT ticket, https://jira.linuxfoundation.org/plugins/servlet/desk/portal/2/IT-27757

      • Kevin Sandi,  will check with Matt and estimate the effort

      • Kevin and Matt will discuss and get back to us.

    • SECCOM will review the Java 21, Python, and Maven upgrades from the security perspective.

      • Paweł Pawlak, will explore the current status of versions; will discuss this further at the SECCOM; scanner from the weekly pipelines may help?? Andreas Geißler, will check; Docker image is hard corded.

      • Golang scanning: waiting for Nexus; Kevin Sandi, will raise a support ticket for Nexus golang support.; no much update here; there is a feature request already by someone else; will monitor the progress.

    • How to deal with vulnerabilities. e.g., SDC, UUI - Angular dependency issues. Also, MPM;

    • SECCOM discussed these issues with PTLs at the next SECCOM meeting

    ONAP and LFN Collaboration

    Byung-Woo Jun

Discussions between Arpit Joshipura, Byung-Woo Jun, Jill Lovato, Louis Illuzzi and Sunny Cai:

    • Highlight the value proposition of ONAP, including overall statistics (e.g., contributors, LOC, etc.) over its lifetime.

    • ONAP messaging 2025

    • Provide deployment examples with links to DT, CMCC, China Telecom, Huawei, Ericsson, AT&T, TATA, Capegemini and others: hope we can finish our input for LFN by February 20th.

      Byung-woo to do internal review

      • DT plans to deploy selected components into production environment (TNAP) this year - discussed during D&TF last year and in several TSC meetings

      • China Mobile & GenAI, @Keguang He , please summarize how China Mobile uses ONAP

      • China Telecom - using fork of ONAP (?) (presentation from 2024), @Dong Wang , please summarize how China Telecom uses ONAP

      • AT&T use case; Dan Timoney, please summarize how AT&T uses ONAP

      • What is Ericsson doing and why? Byung-Woo Jun , please summarize how Ericsson uses ONAP

        • got input from Ramesh Murugan Iyer for Policy (Thanks!!!),  and Toine Siebelink plans to provide his input for CPS

        • Ramesh's input for Policy:

          • Ericsson's new SMO offering is known as EIAP (Ericsson Intelligent Automation Platform) where the non-Real time RIC features in that are provided by EIC (Ericsson Intelligent Controller) component. EIAP aims to provide advanced automation and orchestration capabilities for diverse RAN environments (both traditional and ORAN).

            Refer : https://www.ericsson.com/en/ran/intelligent-ran-automation/intelligent-automation-platform

Policy-clamp component from ONAP Policy Framework plays a major role inside EIC functionality in EIAP. Policy-clamp is responsible for the lifecycle management of rApps in EIC. It works together with EIC adapter microservices for the complete lifecycle management of rApps.

Apart from this, EIAP is also interested to use the opa-pdp component from ONAP's Policy Framework in their coordination-management component . This is at the initial level of discussion at the moment. But opa-pdp has a strong potential to be used in the coordination-management use case.

      • TechMahindra (Deena Mukundan):

        • Tech Mahindra is a services-driven organization that collaborates closely with its customers to deliver tailored technology solutions, enabling them to achieve their desired use cases effectively. In the past, Tech Mahindra has partnered with leading global enterprises, including AT&T, Bell Canada and Telus, to drive innovation and transformation using ONAP. Currently, the company is working with Deutsche Telekom on ORAN (Open Radio Access Network) integration, showcasing its commitment to advancing next-generation network technologies.
