Feedback from OOM team on a better fix is as follows:

• add an host alias on the needed deployment (https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/services-networking/add-entries-to-pod-etc-hosts-with-host-aliases/)

• configure coredns to add custom resolution (https://kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/administer-cluster/dns-custom-nameservers/, https://coredns.io/2017/05/08/custom-dns-entries-for-kubernetes/)

host-alias is probably the method that a lab team would use since its a simple update to the helm charts for the openstack adapter
