To minimize the risk of the change management playbooks changing things which break the e2e function of the vG, I’ve added an alternative set of playbooks which do something more or less innocuous (install/uninstall the ‘jq’ utility).

 

SW Upgrade sequence:

precheck ansible:  precheck_jq.yml

upgrade ansible: install_jq.yml

postcheck ansible:  postcheck_jq.yml

 

SW Downgrade sequence:

precheck ansible:  postcheck_jq.yml

upgrade ansible: remove_jq.yml

postcheck ansible:  precheck_jq.yml
