Test Case NameVNF Manual scaling in/out
DescriptionManually perform VNF scaling in and out
ReleaseBeijing
Preconditions
  1. Vendor VNFM has been registered with ONAP ESR
Testing Steps
  1. Onboard a VNFD (the specified VNF to be determined by CMCC) with scaling support in SDC. Make sure scaling out/in operations and scale step are defined in VNFD
  2. Design and distribute VoLTE e2e service with the scalable VNF
  3. Instantiate the e2e VoLTE service
  4. Login as admin user on SDC and use UUI portal to manually scale out the VNF
  5. Verify VNF is scaled out by checking VIM and A&AI
  6. Use UUI portal to manually scale in the VNF
  7. Verify VNF is scaled in by checking VIM and A&AI
  8. Cancel e2e VoLTE service on UUI
  9. Verify VNF is removed in VIM and A&AI
Expected Results
  1. VNF can scale out and scale in
  2. A&AI is updated after scale out and scale in operations

Testing Steps
  1. Onboard PNF PE in SDC
  2. Design underlay network with PEs in SDC
  3. Design and distribute e2e VoLTE service with the underlay network in SDC
  4. Trigger PE discovery from UUI or VID (discovery mechanism is still under discussion)
  5. Instantiate VoLTE service from UUI with selected PEs for underlay network
  6. Verify L3VPN underlay connection between PEs is created in network
  7. Verify service instance and underlay network connection is created correctly, and relationship between the service instance and underlay network is established in A&AI
  8. Cancel VoLTE service from UUI
  9. Verify L3VPN connection between PEs is removed in network
  10. Verify service and L3VPN connection data is removed in A&AI, but PEs are still in A&AI
