ONAP component mature state, Mature State Projects

Now, we are handling ONAP component individually under ONAP Streamlining, exposing the components to users. CPS is the first case that TSC approved the mature state after ONAP Streamlining. Should we keep the projects under the list as "mature", or should we certify them again? Several components are deprecated.

Gold badging is a separate process from the project maturity in LFN?

  • CPS got the gold badging
  • Policy is working on it. SECCOM will review it once Policy team is ready, following http://tlhansen.us/onap/onap.html 
  • What other components do we want to get the gold badging?

    • Kevin Sandi - a workaround solution will be tried;
    • Marek / Matthew - automatic building solution is needed; escalate this?
    • Kevin/Matt/Kevin - create a ticket and try a solution (maybe Github action helps? PoC??)
    • Some action plans and updates next week - Kevin provided a solution (no error) and plans to do further testing with Marek.
  • Thomas Kulik - issues with Portal-NG and other documentation - IT-26899 Project is not created in RTD
    • assigned to Kevin Sandi - make sure missing merging jobs and make sure it is working. Kevin will provide his solution today.
  • LF IT migrating CI pipeline to GitHub actions - may take to the end of fall or later, once ONAP is completed for GitHub Actions , we will do security review. Last update from Matt is that LF IT is continuously shipping one project at a time. 
    • What is the current progress? O-RAN first, and then ONAP; Jessica will update to TSC
    • Kevin is also workin on this. New patch to push github action versions for maven verify jobs. It is not ready yet. Once repositories are trimmed, they will continue.

  • Policy GUI deprecation request by Ramesh Murugan Iyer for Oslo
    • The deprecation transition steps have been started, Project State: Unmaintained,
    • Ramesh provided the dependencies list to ARCCOM (Byung-Woo Jun )
      • "Policy-gui is currently not being used by any external components in ONAP. And policy-gui is dependent only on the policy-parent repo as its parent ."
    • Plan to report this to PTLs, OOM and SECCOM next week before TSC voting
