Status from this week :

  • repo in github has been shared, feel free to contact Gervais-Martial Ngueko  if you need access
  • current progress is working on override files to spin up components of SMO to
    • Excercise O1 and A1 interfaces
    • automate testing using Xtesting/Python SDK dockers

Discussion :

  • Shared Req-887 in ONAP with slide decks
  • Questions on which components are needed from ONAP, which ones are targetted
    • Currently just a few as we are working on the ORAN-SC existing use cases but Marin advised more to come : ACumos, slicing parts etc..
  • SMO definition
    • Currently what is agreed is that it terminates O1, A1 and O2 interface, not much more on specifics
    • ORAN SC implementation re uses ONAP components for O1 and A1; and has implemented NRT RIC for O2
  • Work with Arch subcomittee to define needs from ONAP as we go along
    • Suggestion to share a working POC with Arch Subcomittee and we go and build up from there

Chris is off for the next few weeks, but Martial will keep people updated on our progress
