We will start our meetings by mentioning the project's Antitrust Policy, which you can find linked from the LF and project websites. The policy is important where multiple companies, including potential industry competitors, are participating in meetings. Please review and if you have any questions, please contact your company legal counsel. Members of the LF may contact Andrew Updegrove at the firm Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the LF.

Recap of “Only put relevant files in the repo” (slides 18-20)

  • 3 solutions possible: #1 status quo via releases/*.yaml; #2 Jenkins Job directly trigger; #3 Full CI/CD
    • Each project can decide which of the three solutions they wish to take, so no longer a need for a TSC vote.  - no mix-n-match with a project however.
    • Please open a ticket to pursue solutions #2 or #3

07:56:56 From Krzysztof Opasiak : Does the TSC approve a waiver for python 2 interpreter in below containers: All fielbeat containers, all DB containers (postgress, cassandra, mariadb-galera), elasticsearch, kibana and logstash, ejbca, cloudify

07:58:42 From Jason Hunt : #vote +1
07:58:48 From Olivier Phenix (Bell Canada) : #vote +1
07:59:17 From Ning So : #vote +1
08:00:24 From Krzysztof Opasiak : For the recording purpose: ratinale behind a waiver: filebeat, elastisearch, kibana, logstash, ejbca are upstream containers. Their newest versions still contains python2 so we cannot fix this with an upgrade and as this is upstream container we don't want to build docker images on our own
08:01:02 From Krzysztof Opasiak : cloudify is external component and we also don't want to build it on our own
08:01:46 From Krzysztof Opasiak : DB containers are shared by many projects thus upgrade at this point may be really disturbing
08:01:55 From Kenny Paul (LFN) : #endvote
08:02:21 From Kenny Paul (LFN) : #AGREED the TSC approves a waiver for python 2 interpreter in below containers: All fielbeat containers, all DB containers (postgress, cassandra, mariadb-galera), elasticsearch, kibana and logstash, ejbca, cloudify

08:05:45 From Catherine Lefèvre (ONAP) : Collaboration Requested Upstream: ODL, Openstack, Akraino, Istio, k8s Downstream: OVP PH2/OPNFV, LF Edge (Akraino) Ask: Formal collaboration process with projects, OVP PH2/OPNFV, O-RAN SC, XGVela, CNCF
08:07:05 From Swaminathan : #Question: Shouldn't we also create more visibility/awareness about ONAP's alignment to relevant standards (3GPP, TMF, ...)?
08:07:55 From Srini Addepalli : In my view ONAP is best served if real use cases are showcased. For example, deployment of real vendor 5G VNF /CNF deployment and LCM.
