Agenda

  • Ingress: @Jack Lucas 

    • new version of "ingress" API (which is now stable)

    • old version is gone in v1.22

      • need to update our ingress template

      • "canary whistle" is dcaemod as ingress is always using ingress

    • changes are ongoing for common templates

      • some move on property fields

      • new "ingressClass" optional field in order to choose the right ingress controller (like for storageClass)

        • we may want to allow to be able to change it but it may be done as further enhancement

    • only "blocking" point for move to 1.22

  • Service Account: Farida Amzy

    • portal service account has been merged

    • only left over as far as I can tell is AAF

  • Service mesh:

    • CDS: we were using a snapshot version. moved back to released version (will "break" Service mesh deployment but will make gating to pass hopefully)

    • SO:

      • waiting for CDS to be merged

      • issues with TLS job to be looked at

    • SDNC: Radoslaw  Chmiel (Samsung) will work on it

    • DCAE / Policy: progress are made in order to onboard these two components

  • Istanbul MR for Log4J:

  • gating:

    • need to verify that gating is still working as the last two patches had weird results:

    • regression on basic_vm which is failing all the time. @Michał Jagiełło and @Morgan Richomme are looking at it

    • unpredictable results on *_macro tests because of bad cleaning. @Michał Jagiełło is on it

  • Service and Security context: @Gareth Roper 

    • DMaaP: pushed a new patchset

    • SO: ready and will be pushed when DMaaP is OK

    • SDC: ready and will be pushed when DMaaP is OK

    • AAI: ready and will be pushed when DMaaP is OK

  • Strimzi: @Fiachra Corcoran 

    • last run should be good

    • ready for review

    • preinstall of operator needs to be done on gating / dailies: @Sylvain Desbureaux 

    • update helm deploy plugin

      • kubectl wait deployment/strimzi -n strimzi --for=condition=available --timeout=900s

  • target version for Jakarta:

    • kubernetes: 1.22.4

    • helm: 3.6.*

      • tentative 3.7+ but need to work "helm push vs helm cm-push"

        • volunteer needed

  • knowledge transfer for dailies / weeklies / gating procedures will be performed during next OOM weeklies

    • March 9th: explanation of daily deployments on Orange with chained ci / kubespray /oom automatic installation / oom testing

    • March 16th: explanation of gating
