Alpine issue

  • Alpine moved from 3.10.0 to 3.11.0

  • Repo pinning: pin down the packages to the latest available package version of Alpine Linux version

  • : pin down the packages to their respective versions.  It lets you specify what version of a package you want

• Need to pay attention to package versions in the future

  • Add nss missing library

  • The solution is sufficient

  • Grass is not greener on the the other side other distros have issues too

  • if we have a common image we can keep a common, maintained common base

  • pinning the version doesn't work

  • downgrading is not a solution because of security issues

  • pushing teams to use java 10 is not an option

ONAP common base image

• Issue has been suggested in the past

• PTLs are warming up to the idea

• Need to maintain a stable set of images that "don't break" the build

• CIA has been called upon to propose a solution

  • Team agrees to take on the challenge

  • Team will put together a proposal, bring it to the PTLs and TSC and seek approval for El Alto release
