SDC Dublin Architecture Review
Project Overview
SDC is the ONAP visual modeling and design tool, which allows to create resources and services.
The output of the SDC is a set of models and artifacts, which drives the orchestration at run-time.
New component capabilities for Dublin, i.e. the functional enhancements
ETSI SOL004 VNF/PNF onboarding, VNF security package
VSP Compliance check at onboarding time
Controller design studio plugin integration
We continue our work to enhance our modeling capabilities.
SDC will align to the agreement reached in the modeling subcommittee for Dublin model requirements, according to community resources.
New or modified interfaces
A new interface with VTP (part of VNFSDK) as part of the VSP compliance check feature.
AAF integration
Interface naming
SDC has an interface with DMaaP, to broadcast once new services or artifacts are distributed.
Reference to the interfaces
Distribution: SDC Distribution model
What are the system limits
As a design-time component, some S3Ps targets are lower, therefore no scalability supported today.
Involved use cases, architectural capabilities or functional requirements
5G use case - ETSI SOL004 VNF/PNF onboarding, bulk PM, slicing
E2E automation
K8S based cloud region support
CCVPN
