OVN-Kubernetes CNI requires to provide control over their subnet IP range.
It was mentioned the effort that it's done in the OPNFV community (https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/PROJ/Ovn4nfv)
The KRD source code can be migrated to some OPNFV project. The Compass project is a possible candidate but it requires to follow their procedures. Visibility and support are the main reasons for its migration.
It was explained the integration functional test (https://github.com/electrocucaracha/krd/blob/master/tests/integration.sh) which is using multus and virtlet capabilities.
The integration functional test that uses containers is under development.
The K8s plugin supports the capability to create resources in different namespaces.
The kubeconfig information can be stored and read from AAI database.
Manage CRD can be a challenge and it's something that needs to be investigated.
Every object created through the plugin generates a new UUID, this UUID needs to be stored for future reference but it's necessary to determine who is responsible to store this information.
