Goals

  • To clarify the gap for the integration of MSB and DCAE (Holmes) .

  • Get a consensus on the final solution and subsequent actions should be taken.

Discussion items

  • Question: Does DCAE have an private network within it?

    • Lusheng: DCAE does not have its own private network. All components inside DCAE share the same network with all other ONAP components which are outside of DCAE (in R1).

  • Proposal: Holmes register itself to the DCAE Consul, and then the Consul help to register Holmes to MSB as a proxy.

    • Jack / Lusheng: It is possible but it's not happening in R1 because of the limitation on the time and lack of a concrete solution.

  • Proposal: Holmes queries its external IP from the DCAE Consul and use that IP to register itself to the MSB. Then it'll be discoverable for all the ONAP components.

    • Jack / Lusheng / Huabing / Guangrong: Agreed. This is going to be implemented in R1 as a workaround.

  • Question: Could DCAE help to deploy a MySQL instance for Holmes?

    • Lusheng: Talk later offline.
