We will start our meetings by mentioning the project's Antitrust Policy, which you can find linked from the LF and project websites. The policy is important where multiple companies, including potential industry competitors, are participating in meetings. Please review and if you have any questions, please contact your company legal counsel. Members of the LF may contact Andrew Updegrove at the firm Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the LF.

The official trademark name the O-RAN ALLIANCE and O-RAN.  The O-RAN logo is also trademarked.  If ONAP wishes to publish models, ONAP would need to contact the O-RAN ALLIANCE and ask permission to use sections of O-RAN.  This is how 3GPP currently operates.   O-RAN’s intent is to get it under SSCL which will allow ONAP to republish it (Open Source License).  If ONAP would like to use any of the O-RAN code, they can use it internally.  But they cannot publish it externally on a website or publish it as part of their spec, they would need to request to do so under O-RAN’s copyright

N.K. Shankaranarayanan followed up during ONAP/O-RAN sync-up meeting with Martin Skorupski , John Kenney. Decision was made to follow-up with other Open Source Communities i.e Magma etc.

Zoom auto-transcript service - These are often translated incorrectly and can be misleading. They are NOT Authoritative!   Information as to why .
They are included here as a time stamp cross-reference for the recording only!  The notes above this line and the actual recordings are authoritative.

07:04:32 every time I do the transcript, it pops up right where I need to click that
07:04:46 There we go. everybody will have received the annoying little pop-up about the recording, but that covers us.
07:04:56 If you come in on a phone line you can use Star 6 to unmute yourself.
07:05:00 If you send me a private chat message it'll become part of the public record, because I happily cut and paste those things into the meeting in it, and as always, we'll start off by talking about our anti trust policy you can
07:05:14 find this policy linked from the project and all of the lf websites.
07:05:21 It's important where we have multiple companies. including potential industry competitors participating in these meetings.
07:05:27 Please review. If you have any questions please contact your Company's Legal Council, members of the Lf.
07:05:32 May also contact them. Andrew up the grove. The room gives more uprove.
07:05:35 Lp. which provides legal Council to the Lf. and it is important to know that this policy is, in effect, with whether there are members of the Linux Foundation present on the call or not.
07:05:52 Okay, Catherine. Thank you. So for today we have this little thing called the M.
07:06:02 2 for the con release. We have some discussions.
07:06:06 Related to infrastructure that I know we need to have want to talk a little bit about o ran and language which seems to be a reoccurring theme for us.
07:06:27 Some things on the enterprise and life cycle.
07:06:33 And then I do want to suspend some time talking about the one summit and the developer form.
07:06:40 Is there anything else that anyone would like to add
07:06:48 Okay, with that, David. I turn it over to you, sir. Alright, Thanks, Kenny. All right.
07:06:52 Do we have quorum let's see 1 2 3 4, 5, 6,
07:07:03 We are right at 50%
07:07:12 Alright. So we haven't looked at the schedule for a while.
07:07:19 So let's let's do that just to reorient everyone.
07:07:26 So you can see we're, at m 2 specification freeze with our next milestone m 3 happening on September first.
07:07:42 Okay, So let's look at where we're at so there's been a lot of progress in the last day or so.
07:07:51 However, you'll notice that we're still probably less than 75% close right.
07:08:00 Now still have a substantial number of issues that are that are open.
07:08:07 I wanted to touch base on a couple of these projects in case .
07:08:15 People associate with the projects can let me know what's going on I think kind of garage.
07:08:23 I don't think is on or cli it's Vnf.
07:08:26 Sdk. Those are 2 where there's been no progress.
07:08:40 Is is Dan on the call, or anyone that works on Ccsdk or
07:08:53 And Network Controller sdnc Okay, that's I know we have some challenge for the 2 component alright.
07:09:10 And then also, multi cloud. Anyone here from the multi cloud project
07:09:24 I don't see beyond you on the call hopefully Okay, alright.
07:09:25 So i'll be i'm sorry I missed that.
07:09:36 No, I'm seeing for Venice you can see a lot. I'll pass your message to Canada terrific.
07:09:42 Thank you. I appreciate that. Okay? And then, looking at the requirement owners.
07:09:51 We have it's like 2 issues one with a when policy functions extension.
07:10:02 I think that one's Fiatra, or no that's John Chaucini, anyone familiar with what's going on with this requirement
07:10:18 This is the even policy work correct? I I do know that John is pretty much on top of it, and there is some common work between that and the sun.
07:10:29 Use case so. but I I cannot speak to exactly what that requirement is but it it's not as if he's not aware of it.
07:10:37 It might have just not updated something, maybe here. Yeah, if you talk with them.
07:10:46 If you could. about this and I I'll also follow up with some mail and then d map enhancements.
07:10:57 This is the one that's fiatra anyone familiar with this one
07:11:06 All right. i'll also be reaching out to Fiatra. We didn't discuss about this in this so we could get today, and The current system seems to be at Stdc. and Dc.
07:11:17 At the current 2 measured modes which are having the update.
07:11:22 And you also try to have a so piloting the other modules, I mean from the perspective usage of Dmap.
07:11:29 So we wanted to assume also to pilot this to be a difference model for the projects to do So there's a kind of Dc.
07:11:34 Projects. S: So Dc: and sdc is where we'll be working on the current D map updates from via grass requirement. that's a current update. David.
07:11:44 Okay, Alright, thank you. Okay, So I think the just to get to the bottom line.
07:11:56 I don't think that we're there yet for M. 2 So my recommendation is that we push off them to for another week, and reevaluate one week from today any thoughts about that
07:12:20 Should you take Project wise? Because I think other projects have to proceed.
07:12:21 So can we also take it based on requirements and projects which are meta target?
07:12:24 Can they be passed like a pok? you're talking about release management tasks for the next milestone, from from 2 perspective?
07:12:36 Can we actually take those function requirements and projects which have already met?
07:12:39 Can they be given? P: Okay, so that I know in that?
07:12:43 Not at the entire milestone, but at least we can take it in stages right the way we used to do before.
07:12:48 Yeah, there's no yeah there's no prohibition on working on tasks for the next milestone.
07:12:58 In any case as long as you're not blocked And so yeah, I can take an action to publish the the tasks for m 3, so that the projects that are ready to move forward.
07:13:14 Can do that sure. Thanks.
07:13:25 The other comments. that I was wondering. is, is there a possibility to ever overview of where we are?
07:13:35 From the architecture review. So because that's also key for the milestone, Yeah.
07:13:43 And that's that's actually captured Well, yeah it's captured for the projects.
07:13:53 By this task. Okay, architectural subcommittee Review.
07:14:04 But i'd welcome any comments from sucker Checker, are you on the call
07:14:20 This is yeah, Maybe I think I saw him but maybe it's on me.
07:14:27 So we need to do staff 6 right?
07:14:32 Nice. so he was there can you hear us I can see I mean he's on mute so maybe you have to step away or take another call
07:14:46 Okay, well, I can come back the other thing I wanted to talk about just to remind everyone, is the this impact view per component
07:15:06 So remember, we need everyone to color code this page.
07:15:14 So the requirement owners go. in and you know put an x in the cell where they expect that there's an impact, and then the ptls.
07:15:29 Then color code that sell as to whether indicating their ability or willingness to to support that requirement in the current release.
07:15:45 And so you can see the color code up here green means that it's committed.
07:15:50 So you can see, for example, these are green and then yellow means. It's under a bestation still trying to determine whether it can be supported or not, and then red means will not do so.
07:16:06 You can see that. we still have a couple of items and and again, this is Catherine.
07:16:13 This is a task that's included in the M.
07:16:19 2 tasks. and so when you talk to Dan you might mention this as well cause I could see Sdnc is not color coded a few of these also multi cloud and cla cli o m and
07:16:37 Sdc: let's see what else and then we're I I updated the language in the task to make sure that people understand that they also need to color code the the global requirements as well and so happy
07:17:01 to see that It looks like the ptls are responding to that.
07:17:07 So that's that's good news also a difference for this release Is that
07:17:14 You know, per our retrospective our last retrospective.
07:17:21 I broke out the best practices and global requirements.
07:17:27 So generally this page seems like it's getting updated with just a few exceptions.
07:17:34 So. i'm hoping that by next week we can have this completely updated.
07:17:43 Alright, go back. Check with Sucker again, Checker, are you?
07:17:48 Available. Can you hear us? You're on mute earlier yeah yeah, hi,
07:17:58 Do you wanna just give us a quick overview on where we stand with architectural reviews.
07:18:04 Absolutely. if you If you could give me a minute so I could log on to my laptop so I could basically bring up the the report.
07:18:15 I just need maybe 1 min. So why don't you go ahead and continue and then give me just second and I log on It's easier that way.
07:18:25 Okay, Sorry. Kenny. Do we need a vote on moving into out or or a pound degree?
07:18:34 I think just a pound agree is probably the sufficient in this case.
07:18:41 And if I don't hear anything That's what I'm dumping into the chat window.
07:18:50 Okay, if you have any objections to pushing them to out one week.
07:18:55 Please speak up now. and this will not affect any of the other milestones in the schedule.
07:19:03 Just only him too
07:19:09 Okay, So I have a question. David, the coon he respectful majority, is it?
07:19:19 Also. I guess it's track no we were expecting the M.
07:19:26 One targets and m one actual right yeah let's I can't remember off the top of my head where that falls out.
07:19:36 Let me pull that up
07:19:56 I believe that was maybe an m one
07:20:15 Let's see 2
07:20:32 Hmm.
07:20:47 It's okay, David. no worries if you can check offline, because I I was just clicking now on the link, and I could see a few people that started to fill up.
07:21:00 But not everybody yet. Yeah, it We have it set up at
07:21:05 M. 4 for for the time for what has been accomplished.
07:21:09 But was thinking that the M. one target need to commit now.
07:21:15 Okay, I think I don't think we have a task for that but I can.
07:21:21 I could capture that as a lesson learned for for cone release.
07:21:28 And I can add a task for that for the lended release.
07:21:33 Okay, Yeah. and tell me again what exactly is the the the task? Yeah.
07:21:43 So Peter, to come to the platform maturity matrix at m 2 and M.
07:21:50 And the and full, and I have the link. I can see the link has been created.
07:21:57 So you can see in the agenda, the D, the the link exists
07:22:04 I I don't understand what you mean you mean that the link to the the page. Yeah.
07:22:11 Yeah, Okay, But the difference between the the M. 2 task and the M. 4 task in in the M.
07:22:19 2 task. they're documenting their the goal right but in the M.
07:22:27 4 tasks they're documenting what was actually accomplished.
07:22:35 So it is just we. we still try the non functional requirement.
07:22:38 If people think we should not evolve, we can remove that.
07:22:42 But because the page was created for school, and I saw that we continue to keep going right.
07:22:50 But what i'm trying to understand is the difference between what the ptls do at m 2, and what they do at M.
07:22:58 4. Oh, we have a tap to normalize what they plan to do, and then for the they set what they have been doing.
07:23:07 So maybe we can just skip what they intend to do, and just have the commitment at the end. Right?
07:23:13 So we hit use the overhead. Yeah, I I think that's appropriate because we had included that earlier on in our evolution.
07:23:26 To help make that a a something that we ensured happened.
07:23:33 And I think at this point it's kind of a part and parcel of how we do business
07:23:41 Okay, So we're good with just having the m 4 task Then from my perspective, Okay, okay, alright. Then I I will leave it alone.
07:23:49 Then: okay, sucker, Are you ready? I am okay.
07:23:59 I guess you wanna share right so let's see, I need to make that one co-host.
07:24:07 I think i'll let you know in second yeah I know it's challenging my side.
07:24:17 But that's okay. okay. i'm. good okay, if you could let me know when you see my screen.
07:24:24 Yes, sir, thank you. so here's where we are with the architecture reviews for the the cone release just to refresh your memories.
07:24:39 Anything that is colored in green indicates that the component has gone to an architecture review and has been approved anything that is called in the Doc.
07:24:55 Brown indicates that the component is scheduled for review and has not been reviewed yet.
07:25:03 I don't know if you could see it clearly on the screen, but there are some components with the dark blue color and the the borders are highlighted in the yellow halo.
07:25:18 If you will. I ran out of ways to to basically flag some of the interesting details.
07:25:28 What that means is that the component is not making any changes and I'm gonna pick on V Fc.
07:25:37 For second, What that means is that the component has not is not planning on making any changes.
07:25:44 However, we did receive an email from the Ptl to confirm that there are no changes plan for the cone release.
07:25:56 The only component that we have not received the confirmation.
07:26:00 An email confirmation from is Cds. the Controller design studio.
07:26:05 So the assumption is that they're not making any changes. But we don't have a confirmation email so going through this.
07:26:18 If you at your leader if you're interested in trying to understand what's going on, or what they a review was all about you click on the appropriate box, and you go to the jared ticket associated with the
07:26:33 review, and in most cases, almost all of the cases there will be a link here that you would click on.
07:26:43 And it basically shows you all the details about the architecture review that the documentations associated with the architecture views and all the changes that are basically plan for this upper upcoming release.
07:27:02 And this applies to almost everything that you see over here.
07:27:09 If you people on the Ca you will go to your associated with Dcae and have all these documentations that were presented and reviews at the Architecture review.
07:27:21 So we're trying to make it as intuitive as possible, so we can go back and track all the changes as well as all the documentations associated with the changes so is slightly different color, and it says spending see, you
07:27:40 presented it so a couple of weeks ago. we left it in this state because he has.
07:27:46 Still he is still working on identifying impacts from other components.
07:27:53 So as soon as we get a confirmation from he has a number one question, one question, but that other. it was not from other components.
07:28:02 It was within this so itself. I think that was a connection which I wanted to have.
07:28:04 It. Okay, the the changes for only within nso that's not external component.
07:28:09 That thing, Maybe that was miscommunicated by whatever I was trying to say is the recursive orchestration which we are trying to do is the change which is actually within this whole Okay, we're trying to
07:28:19 actually find the impact of is so much. this is not from outside.
07:28:23 Okay, So There'll not be any activation impact there' not be impact coming from external entities, and that we have also verified it.
07:28:29 It's working for 5 we've tested it and we are green, I mean.
07:28:33 We also are matching it as part of the first
07:28:37 The base version for the conjugate is also so that's the current update.
07:28:39 Okay, good. thank you sissu so as soon as you're as soon as you're done with your all of your documentations. and you think that you've identified all the impacts just let us know an email and then
07:28:54 we'll change the color for sure okay alright, thank you.
07:29:01 So as you see over here. we have we've had quite a few reviews.
07:29:05 The reviews again. they're all documented the recording is attached to the meeting minutes.
07:29:16 The Obviously you could go to. I made a change to.
07:29:22 We made a change to the meeting minute as well, or the agenda Sorry
07:29:32 So i'll give you overview of what we did yesterday.
07:29:40 So I got feedback from from some of the folks
07:29:56 So if you go to the page I included always in the the update that I sent out the email that I sent out on weekly basis one of the things that people suggested or sent me emails about is that
07:30:12 the Url, for the meeting is too long. So I added the the Qr.
07:30:18 If you point your cell phone or smartphone onto your this i'll take you to the take it to the Qr.
07:30:26 Associated all the Url associated with the agenda
07:30:30 The recording is always here. you go through recording, you click on it, and you should be able to see the recording.
07:30:37 So going back to where we were before, and to summarize where we are.
07:30:49 So with 90% or 95% done O.
07:30:56 F is the only outstanding component Krishna is a sponsor sponsored in over half.
07:31:05 I'm not sure if question has changed his email idea or not but I have not been able to reach out to him the last time I was able to reach out to them was a couple of weeks ago. so if anybody knows Krishna and I'll tell
07:31:19 you Krishna. so chuck? or is it No. This email that you see, is correct.
07:31:27 I thought I saw some email that he requested a time slot. but I don't know what happened after.
07:31:33 Yeah, I I replied back. Yeah, thank you. to him with the with the email indicate.
07:31:45 And listen to Jira ticket as well as the timeframe.
07:31:48 Shankar, if you could reach out to him let him know that we're this this meeting was scheduled for, as you can see over here, we'll schedule for yesterday, and I postpone
07:32:00 ie I actually schedule it for 28 and then I rescued it for rescheduled it for the twelfth i'll. i'll follow up.
07:32:09 He had some email difficulties. but oh, i'll follow up with them.
07:32:14 Yeah, that's what I thought that's. What I thought I mean because I did communicate with them before.
07:32:19 So he was very prompt, and replying back. So not assume that he has some problems with these emails.
07:32:23 So if you could get in touch with them, let them get back to me, and will rescue this review again for next week.
07:32:32 So they way we could conclude all the reviews for the cone release.
07:32:39 So again, we have quite a few reviews. the views have been very, very useful and very interesting highlighting all the changes that we're making.
07:32:49 All the reviews have been very critical in an important, but I do want to highlight to one review that is, even more important.
07:32:59 It is the atmosphere, an excellent job.
07:33:05 Reviewing insurance all the changes that he's making or isn't introducing into Dmap.
07:33:11 How would they scroll the ptls? the that are here, or details that all the all the components to make sure that they pay attention to the d map changes because they will be impacted.
07:33:30 So the background has tried many times. to share the changes, but I do wanna make sure that details pay attention to the changes within D map, because they will be they will have a significant impact.
07:33:46 The impact that they're having is a positive impact But we will have to make sure that all the changes are required with and each and every component are addressed in order for us.
07:34:03 To to have a smooth integration period within the cone release.
07:34:09 That's all I have for now any questions from anyone
07:34:19 So just yeah, sorry no I think it's great and I like this you because it's it's shared the latest composition of the own app components especially since we had move with the
07:34:40 unmenting project So it's it's a good picture. Yeah, .
07:34:43 Thank you. Yeah, no problem, one list comment. If you hover over this, you will see all the milestones.
07:34:53 And, as a matter of fact, as we were speaking about m 2 i'm trying to move Steve Milestone to July 20 first, I think next week.
07:35:00 If you'll see over here is that every time the day change, we'll overstrike it, and we'll add the new date this way, at least from an architecture review. perspective.
07:35:10 We have an idea as to what's being changed and the new date, so on, so forth.
07:35:16 It's an easier way to look at the release and figure out exactly how many times and how many changes we've made to and milestone, without going through the weekend pages, and trying to figure out what the
07:35:30 what these dates are, and that's all for me unless there's there are any final questions.
07:35:40 Yeah, Turn it over to you, David. Thank you. Thanks. Shecker.
07:35:50 Okay, Thank you.
07:35:52 No stop hearing.
07:35:56 Alright. I did wanna mention one other thing if we look at the milestone status something that came up Originally we're going to have let's let's see so we we had a mismatch between
07:36:16 the the license scan task for m 2 which you can see.
07:36:28 Where is it?
07:36:33 There it is. Yeah, this one at the top. And
07:36:38 So there was no license Scan scheduled prior to M. 2.
07:36:40 The next license scan is scheduled for August.
07:36:43 So I went through, and I closed all of these as won't do for the project.
07:36:49 So for the next release. i'll try and get a little better matching on that.
07:36:58 So just to make you aware that that came up I think that's it for me, Kenny, unless there any questions I think we also need to follow up on the remaining dance for m one
07:37:15 Did we have some help in asks if this makes sense yeah, that's true.
07:37:25 That's a good point. yeah i've kind of forgotten about these.
07:37:30 Yeah, we do still have handful tasks so i'll need to follow up it looks like these 2 of these are related to.
07:37:39 Oh, am which is right now without a ptl but i'll see if I can reach out to
07:37:56 I think it was Andreas that i'm here so I check them.
07:37:59 Yeah, I would check them because yeah we didn't follow up. follow the the the the tickets so far last time last week.
07:38:07 So I I will i'll have a look at that yeah Okay, terrific.
07:38:11 Thank you. Yeah, Thanks for the reminder. Katherine, I I forgot about these.
07:38:19 Can we clue? Yes, because there are still some items you can close us into integration.
07:38:24 We can close and do one or if I don't know I will follow up on those Thank you.
07:38:35 Thank you. Thank you. Everybody.
07:38:42 Oh, good. So down to grill engine infrastructure.
07:38:56 Want to just kind of sync up on where we are with the yetlab and the runners and such.
07:39:07 I know that banked had a number of questions, and that there was some things happening offline.
07:39:18 Just wanna see if everything's proceeding as we anticipated There.
07:39:31 I received some extra information, and I haven't implemented them. Yet I wanted to double check a few things like the bus down, and they refer to a Vc.
07:39:42 Page which explains how they did things. I also get the indication that they want Ssh!
07:39:49 Access as ubuntu, which would be root access, and that goes against Lf principles.
07:39:58 On this case in the sense of see that we handle it, or they will handle it.
07:40:04 So I need to double check, But i'm on that one otherwise? So that's where would that be?
07:40:11 Implement. would that be implemented in the lab in the lab?
07:40:15 So in the lab. I would think that would be okay because we don't manage that.
07:40:25 Well, we are setting it up
07:40:36 But we aren't gonna maintain it after we set it up correct. It's going to be maintained by the community
07:40:51 That was the either, or singing, but I guess we can set things up, and then hand it over.
07:41:00 That would be one option. Yeah. so you know my apologies to everyone, especially banked because I've been kind of heads down on a bunch of things since I got back in vacation lessons.
07:41:13 Lord, don't take vacation i'm not the only one that learned that lesson this week crossed me
07:41:26 The if, if it's running in the lab my perspective on it is that we are not maintaining anything to do with the operating systems or or the equipment in the lab that that is community managed with regards to the
07:41:49 hardware maintenance itself. that is, unh setting up the environment and then handing it over is is what I thought we were doing. so.
07:42:00 Let me try and get up the speed before we have our staff meeting this afternoon.
07:42:07 Okay, anyway. the Ronnas are up and running. I have Alpine doctors running 3 of them, and I have one shell, one which I can delete concurrence is currently set up.
07:42:19 So we can run 4 runners at the same time the bus down is, I haven't set that one up yet, but that one should be very easy to set up my question mark is what's the access to them. and I guess i'll need
07:42:35 a bit more information how we should handle that if it's gonna be with root access or yes, normal normal user access.
07:42:47 Okay, cool Then i'll leave everything else for the Som: cause I think that was the morning Portal.
07:42:56 Yeah, why don't we go ahead and jump to the Yes, bomb If there's no questions or further discussion necessary for the get lab stuff
07:43:13 Okay, Jess, we we have, we have some success here.
07:43:21 Yes, thank you. yes. So I was able to work with some of the developers familiar with
07:43:28 How spawn is built. And basically what happened is that the spomb needed an extra argument, parsing so that we can be able to feed it.
07:43:44 Maven settings, files similar to how we have the maving command.
07:43:47 Accepting the settings option, so that's the reason why we were not able to get other transitive dependencies result.
07:43:58 So that feature was added in version 15 of as well generator, and that is a version that is being used currently in the Maven stage jobs.
07:44:08 So a I added there an example with the Dcae, and an example of how the file looks like.
07:44:16 So if people want to continue enabling their as well generator options, that will be fantastic.
07:44:24 I know that A Ai did a Dca. did, and I believe Cps did so. A.
07:44:33 Those were the projects that were not assigned, that the spomb hat is errors which should be resolved by now.
07:44:39 But yeah, I just let me know if you guys still see any issues, and internally we're still trying to get more awareness on the support needed going forward.
07:44:51 So if it if the support didn't end here is still continuing, if we meet anything, so just let me know if you guys think that there is some names, any other improvements, and we we can work it out yeah modesara send
07:45:07 a note, saying he will follow up with the relevant ptls
07:45:12 And hopefully, we'll have some good news next week maybe in the call.
07:45:17 But in the meantime, just really big. Thank you for being persistent and not taking no for an answer.
07:45:27 And yes, thank you. Sorry It took a little bit longer than expected.
07:45:31 But hopefully going forward definitely. They the teams are they They have in their minds that we we need definitely somebody assigned to ongoing support.
07:45:44 For as common. When we made the new release, we realized that the last release was done.
07:45:49 A little bit longer ago, so that's where people start noticing like, Oh, okay, I think, yeah, we definitely need to bring in as much support as we can.
07:45:59 So hopefully, it will get better as we go. yeah, great one. Yeah.
07:46:05 Thanks, Sean here yeah just asking but it's far things you already mentioned that motorcycle will be in contact with.
07:46:14 I just like to understand how teams can check that there as one is being generated.
07:46:18 But with all the stars in contact with those people show us that because i'm still not sure how I can actually, if it actually works for cps, and how I can check it myself.
07:46:30 But yeah, don't worry. So I I saw the cps enabled it in the maven stage job. So if you go to the maven stage job in the in the output of the the console log, you can
07:46:41 search for S. pum in the log, and you will see in the logs when it started to generate it.
07:46:47 And where does it ends? But if if it was successful, you will see in the artifacts portion a file called S bomb something something.
07:46:58 So if you see the file present in the archives, then then it means that it was accessible. If you don't see the file, then it probably means that it fails somewhere.
07:47:10 Else Yeah. Yeah. So just look at the logs.
07:47:14 And the fastest ways to just to look at the archives.
07:47:17 Okay, 1 million: Thanks. Yeah. My question.
07:47:26 And any more questions on Aspan. Okay, Jess, you still have the floor. Yeah, Thank you. So the other thing that I wanted to bring in, I know that Henry
07:47:40 Talked to some of you about individual dashboard and porto so I just wanted to follow up if there's any questions concerns, or if this team needs a separate walkthrough through individual dashboard, I I am happy to provide that But
07:47:58 in general. I wanted to get a feel for how many of you were able to register your individual dashboard, and how many of you still need to try it, or whether you're finding any issues in the process?
07:48:14 So I just want to do a quick open table and see if there's any comments about the digital dashboard.
07:48:23 Anybody wants to comment about it. Anybody wants to share your experience
07:48:30 Or also if and if people will be interested in a separate walkthrough that I can help you guys out with
07:48:42 So, or saying it differently, who still has not done this
07:49:04 And yeah, I mean, if if if the reason is that you guys would like to have a separate session on that i'm happy to provide it. if the issue is that you just haven't had time But you still up
07:49:14 for trying it. I will definitely encourage you to try it, because the individual dashboard is what basically feeds the Lfx insights.
07:49:24 So in order to have consistency in both tools and Lfx.
07:49:27 Insight is a very powerful tool that many of you already know.
07:49:32 So just to have every all the collaborations and contributions consistency in between those 2. I would definitely encourage you to try it and and also it.
07:49:43 It's getting upgraded it's getting better definitely give it a shot.
07:49:48 But if if people want to have a separate session and only the video dashboard, just let me know.
07:49:56 Yeah, just as you could just drop the link into the chat window.
07:50:00 I think that would be good and just kind of recalling what we talked about a little bit at the at the dtf as most of you know.
07:50:17 Lfn and own app in particular. has been at the forefront of how the helping to drive functionality into the Lfx tool suite.
07:50:33 So, you know, as as a as a matter of pride i'd like to see his key power keep our crown in that regard and continue to help help evolve the tools that are being adopted throughout the
07:50:52 Linux foundation. so you know a a personal point of pride for me.
07:51:01 And I hope it is for you as well. Yeah.
07:51:06 And we we have an extensive range of tools, and I know that some of you might have seen them.
07:51:12 Some of you might still not be familiar with it.
07:51:16 Logging into Lfx dot linux foundation org.
07:51:19 I just dropped also the link for the individual dashboard which it is open profile def.
07:51:26 And yeah, I mean, these these tools are getting really great.
07:51:31 And they're getting upgraded they're getting a lot of attention.
07:51:35 So definitely. I will like stay on a community to start getting familiar with them.
07:51:41 Start letting us know what you guys think about it. giving us your feedback.
07:51:47 And definitely, let us know how we can make things better.
07:51:52 Just just as an aside. How helpful was it having Henry at our event
07:52:04 I wish I could have been in the event. But But yeah, definitely, yeah, it was.
07:52:13 It was quite helpful. and good good you didn't information from the developers.
07:52:23 So yeah, it was real full I was able to debug stuff with team quickly.
07:52:27 So when I said it was real, fruitful, and unreal.
07:52:33 Is, is is that's something that we would like to see in the future.
07:52:39 I think it was very good to have him there, but
07:52:49 Oh, I agree, and we can we could discuss it's how we also kick off the the gidlap discussion expressing the concern expressing your concern so face to face.
07:53:03 Really help to understand the concern for both sides faster than to an it tickets.
07:53:11 So it was also good to see Matt with the the new person.
07:53:18 So he could also present himself and connect with some people.
07:53:20 Oh, are located in the Emma in addition to Ben, who was already supporting 200, or for this time time Zoom as well as Jessica.
07:53:32 So think it was a good initiative from a Linux Foundation to have the it team on on the on the even as well.
07:53:41 Okay, Thanks. I will start trying to line that up again for November.
07:53:48 Yeah, and that is Seattle right so i'm I'm in Seattle.
07:53:52 So I can definitely help out with the Lfx portion.
07:53:54 If you guys would like to see anything specific. I did representation in open source Summit on.
07:54:01 I I guided tour in Eccla insights and security.
07:54:08 But if this team needs a particular tool that they want to focus on, just let me know.
07:54:12 And even before that, if you guys would like to see a walkthrough on individual dashboard, just let me know, and we can arrange for that.
07:54:20 Well being in Seattle. I I think that the expectation is is that we will all be invited over to your house for beers.
07:54:27 So so moving on. yeah I I admit I second, though.
07:54:40 I I will be there is a small place, but we can all fit.
07:54:42 I'll be i'll be acting as just cause assistant.
07:54:47 Okay, Okay, thank you guys. so much. name here at yeah, I just w what we're still on running and infrastructure tickets.
07:54:57 Something. I I just want this one ticket that's outstanding for us for a few weeks now around the some dependency jobs.
07:55:05 And Jenkinson. Okay. it's only really affecting the policy framework bush.
07:55:08 It. it's causing a good lot of our csi jobs to pay.
07:55:15 I was just wondering if there was any up to you on that related to what
07:55:27 I just wonder it's the one about stay it's the truth, Pdp.
07:55:35 And did you hear, boss? Yeah, yeah, so yes, that one i've been looking at it with a andy
07:55:45 They they only change that. We added. That was supposed to address all branches was the fact that now we have a proxy for j boss artifacts. and instead of going directly into the jables, website, it goes basically through our nexus.
07:56:01 proxy which which assures that the artifact that is needed is present.
07:56:05 So they the this should have been picked up by all branches.
07:56:11 It affects all branches As long as the branch is using the global settings.
07:56:17 Maven file, and it's a little bit puzzling to me!
07:56:22 Why, only I, I believe in stumble and and master No, Jacques and master are working, and the rest are not so,
07:56:30 What we are trying to do, which is a little bit complicated, is going into.
07:56:33 They are actual branches. thief, And See if for all the ranches the maven,
07:56:42 Maybe there's some even callers or something in the pump files that is forcing and bypassing the global settings.
07:56:50 What the global settings is telling it maybe to do So that is what we think it might be happening because from from the Jenkins perspective, we're making sure that the global settings is definitely included, And So it's being used the global
07:57:06 settings. So it's definitely it's probably been bypassed somewhere else.
07:57:12 So we're we're, trying, to debug that but unfortunately, we haven't got a much insight of why only 2 branches work, but they okay thanks jess for looking as it is just I can't think of looking into that
07:57:26 the big wasn't Branch pacific it was basically a configuration that was done in in Nexus to at the proxy.
07:57:37 Okay, Tag said, because they asked it's a I know it's gonna do any simple, but still some of our some.
07:57:45 Some people are are using at the call of the We wanted to get that walking because to bring in the to bring in just a the log for J.
07:57:53 Security fixes. We want to get those in and yeah, Thanks very much.
07:58:03 Thank you Kenny, that's that's it from Okay, Thank you so much.
07:58:12 Ppl. 4 integration is that was an action Items that I have had from the previous call, and again renewed integration.
07:58:27 We have really great committers wants to focus really. healthy education team, adding a test cases or announcing the infrastructure whatever.
07:58:43 But we are missing somebody almost one or 2 or 3 whatever people who can help to synchronize with or read this manager and it's also an opportunity, I I mean if any Ptm.
07:58:58 Feels there is an overhead on, the task that we have been trying to reduce reviews after it is, it's really an opportunity to to express that.
07:59:10 And and we will continue to address the overhead feeling if we can.
07:59:19 Because some tasks sometimes it's just to guarantee we have all the devices at the end.
07:59:24 We don't forget anything, and we are still saying of software But I want to seize the opportunity to also say use the solution to raise items that you find we should not do because it does not make sense.
07:59:36 Because we evolve over the last 5 years as well.
07:59:42 But this email is really to a final call, and if there is nothing no candidate, one of 2 or 3 whatever, then it will be up to the Tse.
07:59:51 To organize themselves to support this function, and make those 2 to step up, not only on indication and and the Os
08:00:04 Just to keep going. But we need to help on this.
08:00:09 Anyway, Thank you. and thank you
08:00:19 Okay, Thank you. Thank you. So O ran alliance and
08:00:33 Yes, so I had an actionite them because they have been this some discussion last week about being able to use.
08:00:45 Trade marks the models the the logo for anything. right?
08:00:52 So I follow up via my at t channels and the feedback I've received is really from the overall software community, which is also part of the overall.
08:01:09 And That's what they were required, that's what they were telling me there is also an exercise which is ongoing with what they call the Sccl.
08:01:21 Which is, forget what exactly it means, but they have not yet find the time to work on it.
08:01:26 So their guideline was Really, you want to use the logo?
08:01:31 You want to reuse whatever please. Contact the old one.
08:01:37 Onions similarly to what's already happening to it so That's the best answer that I have been able to collect.
08:01:43 It's maybe not the answer. We want It but at least we know where we are.
08:01:51 Comment, Catherine. Thanks thanks for that. I also brought up this topic.
08:01:56 In. Remember, we said one of the next steps was to follow up on the that on app or on Osc.
08:02:04 Al lines calls on Wednesday. So so, besides myself, this marking Scrupsky and John Kenny, who will know about this issue.
08:02:17 So we discussed it, and we said you really need to have a call, including bagners, and and maybe we'll get somebody from 3 Gpp and somebody from Orn.
08:02:27 Because it's not just about the logo there are yang models.
08:02:31 That are Also there are other aspects that are Apis.
08:02:37 And so, it's basically the issue has not really been resolved.
08:02:44 And what are the whatever issue on app is facing as for open source?
08:02:51 Poc and test is a it's a similar issue with the own and software community.
08:02:55 It it because theorem software community is open source. It almost has the same issue with the analytics that on App would have.
08:03:05 So. so I think more discussion is needed to to even to explain what people are trying to do.
08:03:12 I I think that that's that's what I general conclusion was, and we talked a little bit about the Orn Sccl.
08:03:19 Effort. I do not fully understand all the aspects, and but I think we had a sense that this was not the same problem.
08:03:29 It's for everything I put trade mark but it was.
08:03:37 I asked for models Api. So it was really not only about a great mark.
08:03:41 It was about everything, and the I I didn't see anything more more at this stage, because they they mentioned the the Sccl.
08:03:51 But they, they agreed, was, It has not been their priority.
08:03:56 So it does work in finalize. So if there is another way to tackle it like you just described some care.
08:04:05 It would be lovely, but at least that's what They share with me at at least the people it does.
08:04:13 They don't represent all the but that was my point of contact within my company to understand what's going on.
08:04:21 Alright. Yeah, I I think, understand. kathered me up.
08:04:28 And and especially if this was yeah, I yeah I don't really have any more information.
08:04:34 But but it I think we had a sense that at least it would be worth discussing.
08:04:40 The specific parts that we were talking about, or at least to explain it.
08:04:45 You know as clearly as possible. Yes, thank thank you. And and there was some.
08:04:53 There is some email call yesterday that martin sent and we're just gathering all the for example
08:05:01 This was discussed in one of the Tfc. meetings. Right?
08:05:04 At least we have 2 letters if we don't have 3 Gp.
08:05:07 And so we put everything together, at least we'll know where we stand here
08:05:20 Oh, you do thank you. just a quick note then about the moving on won't be in enterprise call until August.
08:05:40 And some work being done there Offline in that regard. Yeah. So I don't know.
08:05:51 Marshall is Oh, shanghai I know we had this action item from last week, but I I don't know if there's an update or you're working together.
08:06:03 Yes, it's now, as on the core so we went to so miss you acknowledge them, and we are provisioning
08:06:18 Oh, good. I I missed the meeting, Marshall. But yeah, I did see the message from Kristina that he was, and he was going to join that meeting.
08:06:26 Okay, that's good.
08:06:38 Okay. moving on The September first.
08:06:46 The Tsc. election cycle will start. Just keep everyone that on your radar.
08:06:55 If if you are interested in running, make sure that you've got sufficient number of contributions over the past 12 month period to qualify you and that will be measured as of September First, so be aware of
08:07:19 that the project lifestyle edits. This is something that we kind of keep moving forward, moving forward, moving forward.
08:07:30 Not critical, but is something that we should kind of get our our hands around and clean up some and then Catherine is kicked off.
08:07:47 The nominations open through August fourth. to provide plenty of time, since we know folks are out on vacation and site, sure
08:07:59 Any questions for any of that
08:08:08 Okay. One summit registration is open. The Cfp deadline has been extended through July.
08:08:18 20 ninth. We know that when when we have dtfs folks are often interested in sharing how they've provided solutions to particular problems, and such folks on the Tsc.
08:08:37 List, no doubt Sounds Saw the message that I sent out yesterday talking about how this is a good opportunity to get visibility to some of these things beyond the development community. So I would strongly encourage you to if you have a
08:08:58 paper, even if the paper is, hey? this is a problem that is an industry.
08:09:04 We need to focus on at a level that is going to speak to decision makers.
08:09:15 This is this is the right time and place for it.
08:09:21 Immediately following the event. we'll have the dtf where we'll be doing the drill down on on the things we work on.
08:09:30 But yeah, if you are interested in trying to get your message out in front of a a a larger group of people.
08:09:43 Submitting a Cfp is is the thing to do.
08:09:46 Randy. Any thing you wanna provide color to that or
08:09:58 Okay, Maybe i'll just no No, I I think you you convey the message correctly.
08:10:05 I think it's happening once a year. and as you said it's an opportunity to reach not our usual suspects of the crowd, but reach out beyond our communities and hopefully recruit more participation for our community so think of it this way
08:10:19 as our chance to. we are always challenge with not having enough contributors and end users.
08:10:27 So this is our chance to reach out to the world and make ourselves known.
08:10:32 And recruit more people for our community yeah I mean there's there's so much we've done in so much to be proud of.
08:10:41 And this is kind of our chance to brag about it.
08:10:51 I realized it was a little tongue in cheek there.
08:10:58 But it it kind of is true if we want to be driving more awareness and and generating more buzz.
08:11:07 This is the way to do it. then, following that, of course we have our dtf which is the 2 days after the one summit.
08:11:21 The dtf is free the one summit.
