Weekly update

  • Kohn M3 is scheduled for Sept 1
  • Please complete color coding of Best Practice requirements (CPS, Policy, SO)
  • Magnus Buhrgard (Unlicensed) received feedback that there were some late requirements coming in
    • any new global requirements would need to have been approved by the TSC and there was nothing lately.
  •  David McBride will go back and review the list & timeline  

RelEng/Infrastructure/Labs

  • Vexxhost & Jenkins
    • Performance issues started last night
    • Vexxhost had closed the ticket as "problem solved" which it wasn't
    • General issue across multiple projects
    • Has been escalated with the provider
  • Issues with the OpenStack infrastructure at UNH Lincoln Lavoie 
    • Openstack piece managed by Windriver 
    • Pods became out of sync
    • Reinstall required over the weekend
    • Users should have received an automated email with new credentials
    • the API looks healthy now
    • Question about backup/recovery to prevent data loss
      • Now configured as a true HA implementation
  • GitLab -status of seed code?
    • Folks still on holiday & also on sick leave
       
  • Migration Status / Upcoming Changes
    • OOM team plans the update of K8S/Helm versions (Azure daily builds)
    • updates finished yesterday
    • Lintining (unoptimized) is now taking 50 mins vs. 10 hrs  
    • Rebasing the makefiles
    • Both gating for Jakarta and Main branches

No response to the call for ONAP Integration PTL

  • Committer list is not up to date
  • Gervais-Martial Ngueko suggestion that job responsibilities be distributed to the other PTLs
  • CI migration is an issue
  • Andreas Geißler 
    • DNS goes away in 6 weeks.
      • Sylvian had been maintaining an account for this on his own
      • Needs to be converted to an LF managed resource
    • Additional test cases are also needed
    • Risk is currently low
  • Magnus Buhrgard (Unlicensed) concerned that we don't have more members taking a leadership role for integration  - does this reflect waning interest?
  • David McBride notes the challenges in "headless projects"
