• The next Paris release schedule is proposed, Release Planning: Paris

PM Usecases require DMaaP DataRouter

• Viresh Navalli found a vulnerability around org.onap.dcaegen2.services.sdk.rest.services:dmaap-client
• Plan to discuss it with Andreas Geißler 
• DMaaP MR is deprecated in New Delhi including all client
• DMaaP DR is deprecated in Oslo

PM usecases require DCAE components (@vireshrn ):

• Datafile-Collector (DFC)

• PM-Mapper

• DFC uses:

  • DMAAP message-router

  • DMAAP data-router

• Problem:

  • DMAAP is deprecated and unmaintained and DCAE components are not deployed because of the DMaaP removal

• possible solution

  • DFC uses Kafka-native connection (as e.g. VES-collector), example: https://git.onap.org/dcaegen2/collectors/ves/commit/?id=47195e4ac559963cd33dc155f219bd2b127ef025

  • Data-Router replacement or reactivation of DMaaP DR (or add DR to DCAE)

• Viresh reported vulnerabilities around PM use cases; 
• Andreas Geißler, if PM data collection use cases continue, need to use Kafka and DR needs to be back? 
• We have instructions for DCAE to move Kafka, but someone needs to implement the migration
• Viresh Navalli could be a volunteer but he needs some guides; Andreas Geißler can provide some help; Viresh Navalli responded, the fix can be applied to Oslo or New Delhi.
• Oslo is preferred at this time; we may need a maintenance release for either Oslo or New Delhi

• @Jessica Gonzalez , cleaning up ONAP confluence pages, attachments;

  • Action Point: the biggest attachments are TSC, SECCOM, PTLs...

    • @Byung-Woo Jun replaced SECCOM mp4 files with the PCC links; removed the SECCOM mp4 file from the confluence.

    • PTLs need to check their meeting recordings

    • @Jessica Gonzalez, prepared this list: ONAP wiki attachments Oct 2024-bwj.xlsx, check this out. use the PCC recording links and remove the mp4 files.

    • @Jessica Gonzalez , could you please regenerate the list?

    • Byung-Woo Jun will ask PTLs to check the list and remove the attachments including abandoned drafts

• @Kevin Sandi, Github action ticket (Kevin Sandi) - bypassing -1 for option jobs : any update? Jira ticket for tracking RELENG-5602

  • If patches are fixed today, Kevin can start testing.

New bypassable workflow is in place and working. There are a couple of improvements I’m working on to avoid deprecation notices and use the correct voting github action.

It is working, but @Toine Siebelink , will create a new ticket for a new policy on checking the RTD links toward @Kevin Sandi ; @Thomas Kulik , reported there are many broken ONAP wikis; treat every warning as a warning??

  • May be a process issue - PTLs update based on the reports at the beginning of the release

    • are PTLs willing to fix new vulnerabilities found up to code freeze? PTLs can fix new findings in NexusIQ

    • Bring up at the next PTL meeting (9am ET) - December 2nd
