BUSINESS DRIVER FOR CONTROL LOOPS

Executive Summary - Control Loops are the way that ONAP automates various processes.  ONAP receives and analyzes telemetry data from the VNFs via DCAE. That analysis is then compared to various policies that are created through CLAMP.  The Policy Engine then executes the triggered polices and works with various ONAP components to orchestrate a response to trigger.  In this formalized method of reacting to the VNF environment it is possible to automate many functions that previously required operator intervention.

Business Impact - In this business environment of "Doing More with Less" it is critical to automate many of the processes that were previously completed manually.  The Control Loop gives us the capability of getting more work done with fewer people in operational roles.

Business Markets - There is fierce competition in the Telecom market today.  All service providers that use ONAP can benefit from the use of Control Loops to automate many of their manual processes
