- Secure DB Connection: SQL 8 and SSL
- JDBC: You need to add some parameters to the configuration string, make sure the JDBC string is configurable. By default, MySQL 8 will generate its own certificate. The certificates are usually handled separately by the configuration of the persistence layer when using an administered persistence layer. In which case, there is no need to do certificate handling. In the service mesh case, this can be turned off because the DB is inside the mesh. This arises when using an external secured DB.
- Flags must be passed into MySQL (-- ) and Postgres to enable secure communication, this was needed for DB Migrator
